clematis-eyres-gift
Clematis Eyres' Gift
The flower shape is open and upward-facing, with rounded sepals that come to overlapping points. Eyres' Gift opens confetti-like blonde centers that provide a lovely contrast to the dusky blue flowers. When planted in full sun, the sepals display a lighter midrib for a bit of dimension. Eyre's Gift can be paired with a pristine white clematis to enhance the saturated blue-violet of Eyres' Gift. Or, match this colorfully-centered flower with Sparkler, another Clematis with confetti-like centers.
Eyres' Gift is one of our many Clematis created by Barry Fretwell, an outstanding British breeder whose work with the genus has revolutionized the Clematis garden. Gardeners around the globe love Mr. Fretwell's flowers, and you'll see why with Eyres' Gift. Clematis 'Eyre's Gift'

In our EZ Pruning Guide, this variety is in the YELLOW pruning category.
